Usage Guide

Installation

1. Close Archicad
2. Download and use the installer for Windows or macOS
3. Start Archicad (in Demo mode if you don’t have a Ortho-Tool license yet)

Setup

Set your desired tolerance in the settings here:
Edit -> Move -> Ortho-Tool Settings...

The tolerance specifies the threshold below which a wall or beam is aligned with the axes. A wall or beam will be aligned, if both its start- and endpoint deviate LESS THAN the tolerance from the straight axes.

Usage in 2D

Execute the Add-On command Edit -> Move -> Align Walls and Beams to Axes to align all visible and editable walls and beams to the current view angle.

You can also select a subset of walls and beams before executing the command.

Usage in 3D

Execute the Add-On command Edit -> Move -> Align Walls and Beams to Axes to align all visible and editable walls and beams to an angle specified in a popup. This works across all stories!
